new guy maybe purchasing first cressida

hey guys as title states may be purchasing my first cressida, allways liked the look of them.
so looking at a 93 mx83 cressida soon, one owner 167kms auto grande, from the photos it looks immac, apparently they have the log books and everything works. 
im mainly looking at getting one to make as a nice cruiser at first (have a road bike to go quick when needed) so will be doing the basics lowered, wheels ect.

is there anything in particular i should be looking for that would make me walk away from the purchase straight away? and i have heard things about a shitty head gasket or something aswell?

and how reliable are the standard motors if they arent driven hard, mainly to and from work and costal cruises?
