New Forum, Old Guy

Hey, been around the cressida scene off and on for a long time.  Lately, it has been mostly off the scene, but that is changing.  I have cleared out all of the projects except for two.  My first love, my RA29, hence the name.  The other project has been a long time coming.  I have owned the wagon for3 or 4 years, but never really done anything with it.  Well, all that has changed in the last few months.  I have sold off all the distractions and decided to focus on the two for now.  So here they are...



Plans for the celica... drive it till the wheels fall off and then fix it and do it again.  The cressida is uncertain right now.  I have a 75K engine sitting waiting to go in.  I placed a huge rockauto order a few months ago and got a timing belt, etc etc for that engine.  The original engine has 197K on it.  If the local Pull-a-Part runs another hundred dollar engine special soon, I may end up JZ-ing or UZ-ing it.

Right now, I just want to get it back on the road and driving.  I did get it started today, which marks the first time in a year that it had been started, but I learned I at least need to clean all the grounds and check the electrical.  At worst, I need a new alternator.  Hope to be able to help out where I can and hopefully dig up some of the lost archives...
