My MX63 build
Picked up a clean 2 owner MX63 Cressida for a project a around 1/10/13, plans include a turbo 5m, slammed suspension, flares, 5 speed conversion, full wire tuck, full interior recover, and some paint and body work. Feel free to let me know what you think!
Stock:
New Wheels
And tires (205/60/15)
Test fitting wheels
Got my tires mounted!
Test fit minus the flares
Test fit with modified flares
And a picture of the free HKS Hiper-D coils that I got, direct from Japan!

Re: My MX63 build
I ran into some issues with the coils, the fronts will fit once I get some S13 suspension parts but the rears are not going to work with out re-building the back half of the car so I am just going to run some circle track springs, kyb AGX shocks, and circle track spring height adjusters. I am more than likely going to cut some springs for the time being until I get some more money

Re: My MX63 build
Japanesenostalgiccar.com, one of the members there sells them. Its made of real wood so I will be staining it to match my new woodgrain NRG steering wheel and custom made wood grain shift knob. Oh also got a volvo snowplow front lip bolted on and I am getting a roof rack tonight that my nephew custom made. Pretty damn excited....Will be cutting springs, building my exhaust and painting my wheels before Sunday as well so I will be pretty busy this week

Re: My MX63 build
unfortunately, I might be getting rid of my cressida. A guy offered me a 240sx w/ rb25det swapped and runs real well. Hes super desperate for a cress and wants mine. I am thinking of taking it.

Re: My MX63 build
well that didn't go through. Don't mean to thread jack, but he made it sound like it was a clean 240sx. He did the jankiest swap... smh... Reminded me how much I hate the 240sx scene. buaha.

Shitty, the last 15+ months have been pretty tough.....anyway my suspension stuff is going to have to wait due to me being a broke bitch. I may have a 5 speed in soon though.

Re: My MX63 build
5 speed is great. but for real though, being broke sucks. just cut springs until you can figure out the coil overs. and get new shocks, should ride pretty good. idk if the x6 is similar to x7 but camaro struts out back and aw11 strut cartridges up front work on the x7

Re: My MX63 build
I have a ton of parts that I am just waiting to get time to install including
New pads and rotors, front and rear
Short stroke shocks front and rear
Slave and master cylinders for the 5 speed
6 puck sprung clutch and 2800lb pressure plate
and in the mail I have
Flywheel
front and rear spring height adjusters
550lb 8.75" rear springs
450lb 10" front springs
and thats about it....I think...I will be picking up the transmission, clutch pedal and clutch lines here in the next week or so. Also I am back on the hunt for wheels, the steel wheels look great but they are stupid heavy.

Re: My MX63 build
I got some low!
Stock rear suspension came out
Rear adjustment collars were welded up by my buddy Isaac
And this went in
Then the front suspension came out and we built my coilovers, by this time it was getting dark so no pics of the new front suspension
Then I grabbed a super shitty dark picture of the car all set down with no flares on it and that is how it sits now.
I will grab some new pics tomorrow that are not pitch black

Re: My MX63 build
Did some more work today on the inner fenders
Doing some fender work.....I can see my tires by opening my trunk now. But at least now I have almost no rubbing.
A decent pic of the front coilover setup
And here it is back on the ground. Please excuse the front fender gap, we took over 3" out vertically and now that the flares are off everything looks like crap. I am looking for new front fenders that will be flared similar to how the rears are done.
