MX83 Cressy 5spd

hey guys this is my mx83 cressy as it sits now, future mods are 2jzge (just picking up last couple of parts for it now), some coilovers
and a hydraulic handbrake.

i bought it off a mate who said he wasnt sure what was wrong with it and that one day it just wouldnt start.
so got it home and after a few hours trying to figure out why we finally got it started.... spun a main, awesome.
then i found out he actually knew it was fucked.
so after months of looking found a 7m out of another x83 which was apparently running great and only came out for a 2j conversion.
got it in, pisses out oil from front main seal and bearing was gone. i love people that bullshit like that.
so i had another unknown condition 7m sitting here but decided i was going to forget about 7m's and just use my spare 2jzge
out of one of my jza80's, will be happy when thats done.

mods are atm
17x8.5 front
17x9.5 rear
lowered on shit suspension (bottoms out on wheels on every bump)
black painted roof
extended front wheel studs
have the falcon/skyline brake upgrade but havent put it on yet
w58 from a ma70 using front half of tail shaft from the ma70 and mx83 center bearing, ma70 clutch hardline and softline,
ma70 slave, RA60 celica master, RA60 clutch pedal, cut down stock brake pedal, and RA60 shifter.





and heres the ma70 i bought just for the manual conversion, was a complete car when i got to it. but a manual cressy is way cooler

havent really been on since this site started.

thought i would post up an update as a lot has changed.

so im over the whole 7m thing so first thing to do was doing
a 2jz conversion, its a ge though but better than a 7m.





Then my Fiance bought me a set of brand new BC BR Coilovers for chrismas, was cheering.

Cleared the roof as it was just painted without clear by previous owner, also
cleaned up the engine bay a little bit.



so then i couldnt handle the polished rims anymore but instead of changing them i decided to just
paint them, fix all the gutter rash on them and had a mate paint them white for me. looks a lot
better in my opinion.

Sort of bored of the 2jzge now though, new plans are to get a hold of a cheap as hell Soarer with a 1jz and put that into it. take out the 2jzge and put it into my RA60 or Hiace, not sure which yet.

Good to see another aussie riding the x83 flag good job so far. I'd stick with the 2j and boost it if it was my car but best of luck anyways

I was considering black paint for the faded roof on my gold MX83. Looks prtty good.
