My good friend Pavel at Pavels Racing Engine did the rebuild for me
Toyota Cressida TRD LSD installation and rebuild
This is a TRD LSD installation and rebuild for a local customer and longtime friend. He is a Toyota Cressida aficionado to say the least. He sources this TRD differential from Japan with great expense and time. He supplied the TRD LSD, Weir Engineering billet crush sleeve, and all new genuine Toyota bearings and seals for the job.
-Differential was disassembled, all components washed in solvent tank, and inspected for wear.
-Differential cover was media blasted and "LSD" tag covered and saved; nice touch!
-Gear backlash checked with a dial indicator before disassembly
-Pinion gear drag checked before disassembly with a Snap-on dial torque wrench
-everything reassembled using new OEM bearings and races
-Weir Engineering billet crush sleeve measured and shimmed to provide pinion drag recommended by Toyota Factory Service manual
-LSD installed and backlash checked again. 0.0050 inch. Can't get better than that!
Pushpinder Singh is extremely happy with the results
