PISTONS & PISTON RINGS Empty PISTONS & PISTON RINGS

If you are going to rebuild your engine and plan to purchase new pistons ensure that the rings are matched to the pistons (usually this is the case).

Most manufactures provide the specifications for their rings/pistons on their company website as well; for example see the link for NPR Pistons & Rings.

They show such things as piston side clearance and ring end gap (if any). Nice things to know!
