Bretto's UX73 DOWORK

So this is my NZ assembled MX73 Cressida. .

I Flew down the country to pick it up and enjoyed the 500 km drive back up.

Heres how it looked when i picked it up :



Its currently running a VVti 1uzfe . Engine is managed by a Link G4 extreme ECU . Running 4 into 1 headers with a 3" exhaust it makes 206 kw at the wheels.



Its lowered on BC golds with the shorter front struts fitted. First thing i did when i got home was fit my 15 x 8.5 and 15 x 9 BBS RS running 195 45 tires:



The rear guards have be flared quite extremely so Its running a 25mm bolt on spacer with a 12mm slip on spacer to get the wheels to fill the guards.






Im not a big fan of running all that spacer so im currently building a set of 16" BBS RS which will fill the guards nicely 16 x 9 and 16 x 10.

then a quick mock up , this is what a 12" rim would look like. Made from 2 6" rear barrels:



Maby one day i will run these . need some bolt on flares though....






The 1u is backed by a W55 5 speed with a short shift and a F series Diff which i just got fitted with a Truetrac LSD centre :

Now that the driveline is sorted its just looks i can play with.

I love this thing. so much fun to drive. turns heads . Maby one day i will turbo it but for now i just wanna skid it up and cruise around.

Why is this not getting any attention??? Dude this car is perfect. Love the color, the motor choice, the pipes, the wheels, etc. I wan't mine to look just like that. So jealous of the slim bumpers.

what kind of trunk lip is that? i want one haven't seen any around.

The Trunk lip is the factory spoiler that was a option in nz.

Its been a while since i last posted but i have been doing little bits on the car. I Finished rebuilding my BBS :



I got new 3 and 4 inch lips imported from Germany making 9 and 10 inch rims. I got all new waffle plates ,hex nuts centres plus new gold anodised bolts. It cost me a small fortune but was well worth it ! The centres were painted gloss black with a gold flake , Hard to see in the pictures but look awesome in the flesh.





I squeezed some 205 / 45s on and chucked them on the car



Im going to add another 15 - 20 mm spacer on the rear as with that stretch its still not looking right



I have also had the wing mirrors and front lip painted in the same black gold flake to tie it all together. Im still waiting on the Front lip to come back from paint but here the last shot i took.



over the next month i will be putting Techno toy tuning NCRCA's in the front for some more camber and applying a 80s style GT stripe down the centre of the car. Getting ready for one of the biggest car shows we have in NZ the 4 and Rotary Nationals .
