We're about to start goin crazy stuff with air to water, bolt/weld on crash bars to replace the bumpers, custom suspension pieces and tubbed front end so we can get crazy steering angle. I'll get a build thread up and running in the next week or so when we start building the new front mount turbo manifold

I was a member on there 9 years ago. my first car was a Cressida and loved them ever since. like I said I was 16 and the x73 was poorly maintained by my grandparents when they handed it to me. now im 25 and a toyota technician and bought another x7 after owning a Taurus SHo and a Subaru gc6 and lexus es 300 (still own). very glad to see enthusiast wanting to keep the Cressida alive.

Hi there , my name is Kai , I'm from South Australia and I drive a 89 mx83 Cressida. mods so far : gx81 front brakes , low kings springs reset 30mm lower, pedders shocks, shortened bump stops, Technico solid subframe and diff bushes, dual rear stabiliser bars, LSD . Also done a few bushes and fitted some new rear upper arms. And the usual audio upgrade and steering wheel on the inside.
Future plans: have all the gear for 5 speed swap except for ma70 front tailshaft which I can't find so might get one piece made up, also have a 7mgte which I'm rebuilding to put into the car .

Hey guys! I'm Brad, I own a 1989 cressida mx83, it's red because red cars go faster! It's currently off the road and being stripped out and hopefully it will make its way to becoming a drift machine! I plan to keep the 7m in it and just make it more reliable and get a new head and such. I also drive a 2003 Toyota prado with a few 4wding bits thrown on I'm from Adelaide, Australia. No pics yet.

I drive a hiace work van and also have an 89 mx83 grande (series 2?), it has a 1j thats mostly stock except for exhaust, cooler and lightened pulleys and an eboost street.

hey guys had my 1993 mx83 cressida for about a month or so its a one owner full log book history and 170000kms drives amazing, im from sydney aus, the thing is stock as a rock. plans are some wheels, some low, and just a nice cruiser. wouldnt mind putting a 1uz in her love the sound the quad cam v8 makes. not too fussed on big power as i have my bike to go quick.

Hi, I am Ken, was on TC.net.  Owned a few X73s and X83s.  Currently have an RA29 76 Celica and an 86(september 85) MX72.  No big plans for the wagon.  It will stay automatic so the wife can drive it.  I hope to 5 lug it as I have all the parts, just gotta get them put together.  If I can find a 2JZ cheap, it may get dropped in sometime in the future.  Pics as she sits in the driveway having sat slumbering in the backyard for the last two years or so.

My name is Jose and I'm from Los Angeles (San Gabriel Valley). I drive an 86 Cressida that I have owned for two months. I got it for $700 running and complete but it has an oil leak issue. I had initially planned to swap a 1JZ into it but I decided to go a different route. The route nobody wants to take. I'm getting my hands on a 7MGTE with a GT35R turbo and some other goodies. Upgraded ARP Head Studs torqued to correct spec to rid of the BHG issues. I'm taking it slow starting off with a w58 swap.

Hey everybody, name's Joe, I but I go by Blue. Been in the Mitsubishi 3000GT/Dodge Stealth scene for about five years, and I'm finally selling off a pair of cars, and moving into a new platform. I found an '86 Cressida on Craigslist for super cheap that I'm going to go bring back to life on Tuesday, and start piling up parts for a build.
I currently also own a 2001 Galant LS V6 with some light mods, and my girlfriend has a '95 Stealth Base/RT which is plenty modded. I'll never give up on my V6 Mitsubishis, but it's time for something new... just kinda looks like I picked the worst time to move into this platform, as the old forums are gone.
I'll get some pictures of the car when I go get it. It's been sitting for four years, with only 90,000 miles on it. My goal is to drive it the 2.5 hours home.

Hey what's up guys my names Kyle I was doing some digging online for a good cressida forum and ended up here,I am from olympia washington. I have an 87 mx73 sitting on enkei 92s with Megan coil overs they dude I bought it from put an ngk quick release hub for some reason on it. I used to own a 78 blue woody wagon. I am not sure what my plans are yet I don't want to destroy my car drifting it if I swap a 5 speed into it ha. For now I just daily it. I hope to get some good info from this site thanks!

Got an X3 stock motor slight mods and a X7. My wife also has an X7 that I drive as my daily for the time being been playing with it while mines been out for a swap project. Ill get into the details of my x7 when its done.

Hey, another lost T.C.net user. Been around a while, ex Toyota dealership mechanic, if I can be of help let me know. Mines a 86 GLXi 2.8 DOHC 5 speed manual, LSD with MkII interior (hated the grey leather) running on polished pyramids. If you're from Canterbury you will have no doubt seen it rolling round. Had her now for 13 years. 334000 on the clock and the head and sump have never been off.

New to the forum. First cressy forum I have joined looking to learn a lot. 89 mx83 bone stock for now. Ordered BC Coilovers for it. It's my daily for now I already have a dedicated vehicle for drift events. I do plan on a manual swap later and NA 2j after the 7m blows. I live in the SF Bay Area.

I recently installed Megan coilovers. I've been saving up for a plane ticket home for leave (5000 miles too virginia) once I get back I'm going all out. First I'm getting the body 100% taken care of (hawaii weather =rust) more suspension work and eventually a 1jz.

I currently have an sr20det s13 silvia that has been a fun street/drift car but toyota life has always been at the back of my mind. So I'm in the process of selling my s13 and then building an mx73. So I thought what better forum to join!
