Re: Anyone with a 5 speed swap in here?
heres what you need.
-mk2 or mk3 supra clutch pedal assembly. (mk2 fits with no mods supposably)
-mk2 or mk3 clutch master cylinder. (match to pedal assembly)
-w58 or r154 transmission
-clutch fork( match trans)
-slave cylinder (match trans)
-line from master to slave
-mk3 supra driveshaft (match trans)
-crossmember that goes with matching transmission. (supposably the w58 fits both)
-beat the tunnel to get the trans to fit
-flywheel
-clutch assembly
-bolts and nuts of course
-park nuetral safety switch needs 12 volt power while cranking and running, so you can start it.
if anyone sees anything missing or incorrect feel free to correct me.

-MK3 pedals are pretty close. Have to bend the clutch and either chop or swap the brake pedal.
-MK3 (and I imagine MK2) master cylinder reservoirs DO NOT clear the wiper motor on LHD cars.
-Beating the tunnel only applies to the R154.
-longer bolts for the bellhousing. flywheel, and pplate bolts too
-you can leave the NSS plugged in (in neutral or park) to be able to start the car without having cruise. You can also just short the relevant pins in the connector (albeit cruise still won't work). My car's been garaged 300 miles away for 3 years so I haven't solved that problem yet, just theorized

Re: Anyone with a 5 speed swap in here?
I have a r154 in mine and I used the turbo mk3 supra front drive shaft, cressida carrier bearing, cressida rear drive shaft, modified mk3 pedal, mk3 clutch slave cylinder, and mk3 clutch master cylinder modified to use a 90-92 accord remote reservoir.
You you want to use the stock cressida cross memeber because it will fit fine. BTW you do have to beat the trans tunne a lot with the r154 but not with the w58.
Make sure when you swap you use a new clutch release(throw out) bearing and input shaft bearing
the reast seems to be covered
I do have a mk2 pedal and clutch master cylinder for sale also just a heads up
I will take pics of the plugs that need to be wired up this weekened since mines out of the car for my 2j swap

Could anyone tell me the length of the bolts for the bell housing (w58)??? also could i use the same bolts for the starter or are they different length also?

70mm.
Toyota p/n 90119-10019
By the way, the IS300 / Mk4 Supra clutch master cylinder fits the X8.
Correct bolt spacing, correct reservoir.

If you're in Australia the hilux g36 box fits. Drives like a work Ute but a cheaper alternative to consider

Re: Anyone with a 5 speed swap in here?
you also need to swap the rear plate on the mk3 driveshaft with the cressida one so your driveshafts will bolt together. I think anyway, I had to for my x7 for the 5 mins I had a 2 piece anyway haha. the part number he gave you is probably assuming you had the 7m still, the jz bolts are different.

Re: Anyone with a 5 speed swap in here?
Im using an mk2 w58 tranny with an mk2 front drive shaft and its not long enough. The carrier bearing is at the right spot to mount up but theres about a 3 inch gap between driveshafts. Can someone pls explain what i should be doing? The only thing i can think of is extending the rear drive shaft unless other driveshafts will fit with the mk2 w58 tranny
