just got an mx73 and have some questions
I just purchased an 87 mx73 and I have some questions
First question is, how to fix a leaky sunroof? The po just put some silicone sealer around the sunroof to keep it from leaking but it looks bad. I want to clean out the silicone and fix the leaking.
Second is where to find interior trim parts for this car? It needs both rear power window buttons, the trim around the steering wheel. the door sill trim on one of the rear doors and the rear speaker panel
I will post pictures af the car later

All sunroofs leak, but they have drains down through the A & B pillars so that the water doesn't get into the car.
Most likely your drains are plugged.

That should so it.
After 27 years of road dirt, old leaves, and other crap builds up in the pan that is designed to catch water.
Come to think of it, I should do mine before it starts leaking.
But they are a bitch to get at.
The head liner needs to come out, and there will be a plastic tube coming off each corner of the sunroof pan.
But check the TSRM to make sure.
Oh, and mineral spirits works well to disolve old silicone.
It won't hurt the car's paint.

Just looked at the TSRM and they don't show the exit point of the drains, but if it is anything like my wife's camry, they should exit in the rear wheel well... My wagon doesn't have a sunroof.

I updated my original post, the car is an 87 not 86 if that makes a difference
