Just another 5mgte build AND pictures OH MY!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I've been meaning to this since tc.net closed, but as I now am management my free internet browsing days are quite limitted. I hope I can recreate it as best I can going off memory. If you have any questions at all by all means PM me and I will try to get back to you as soon as possible.
So my goal was to create a turbo car that would not break the bank, as well as like it could have been factory. This car was passed down to me from my dad, it was never smoked in, never driven in the snow and for the majority of it's life the only thing ever put in the trunk was a set of golf clubs, so a super clean unmolested look was what I was after. So I managed to pick a ct-26 in great shape but none the less I decided to rebuild it. For any one looking to rebuild a ct-26 check here

One thing I determined I was going to have to do was run innercooler piping so I shape the Air cleaner hole with body hammer wrapped in tape and a heat gun to keep from cracking the paint until 2.25" pipe would fit through it.
I sourced a good 3000 pipe for the cross over between the throttlebody and the inner cooler piping.
As well as a 7M oil filter adapter to make changing the filter easier (This is a good upgrade for a 5MGE period). Just block off the oil cooler ports. I actually ground off the ear that holds it to the block on a 7M also.

Re: Just another 5mgte build AND pictures OH MY!!!!!!!!!!!!
In closing I know I went through this quick and the dialog is limitted, but a picture is worth a thousand words and all you really missed is me and some other TC.net guys bickering back and forth about how it could or couldn't be done. Some updates I definitely would recommend would be a MLS head gasket and ARP studs, a good RRFPR not an ebay cheapy, You will Break BAD if your Air/Fuel ration is to lean I burnt the shit out of my head gasket on a cold night running lean. I also would look for a supra inner cooler and definitely make sure the hose off of your turbo to the inner cooler can flex, that was always my weak spot on this build if it is too rigid you will throw a boot when the engine rocks in a hard accelleration. Don't mount the regulator on the firewall the noise will drive you nuts. Use a 255lph pump I used a TRE pump, walbro's again are noisy. That being said please ask questions, comment revive this old thread and get the info out there.

nvm, I see the block off plug. are you going to run a oil cooler?
Re: Just another 5mgte build AND pictures OH MY!!!!!!!!!!!!
No, I'm not running a oil cooler. The 7m oil filter adapter has ports on it for a oil cooler but it is full flow strictly as an outlet so, you would need a oil cooler that has a pressure restrictor or put on in line before the cooler otherwise you will starve the engine. It is not like using a Summit remote kit where the oil flow in a series out and in to the oil passages.
