I did 2 MKII 5 speed swaps on different 86s and used the stock speedometer cable for each. If you route it over the trans it will work and was completely accurate as is with the stock wheels. There's a way to jump the one plug from the harness to get your back up lights to work.

The other 2 plugs aren't used. The auto trans computer isn't needed so you can just unplug it and stop getting codes.
